Parkinson’s – പാർക്കിൻസൺസ്

Cause

Parkinson’s disease is a neurological disorder caused by the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. The exact cause of Parkinson’s disease is unknown, but researchers believe that environmental and genetic factors may play a role in its development. It is believed that exposure to certain toxins, such as pesticides, may increase the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. The destruction of dopamine-producing nerve cells (called dopaminergic neurons) in the brain is the main cause of Parkinson’s disease.

Symptoms

Common symptoms of Parkinson’s disease include tremor, muscle rigidity, slowed movement, problems with balance and coordination, and changes in speech and writing. Other symptoms may include depression, anxiety, and memory problems.
