Cause
Epilepsy is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. This can be caused by a variety of things, such as genetic factors, head injuries, stroke, infections, or even stress. This irregular flow of electrons can cause a seizure, which is a sudden burst of involuntary muscle contractions.
Symptoms
Convulsions, muscle spasms, loss of consciousness, and altered behaviour. Other common symptoms of epilepsy include auras (a sensation or experience that precedes a seizure, such as a strange taste or smell), staring spells, confusion, and unresponsiveness.
