Conjuctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the thin, transparent membrane that lines the inner surface of the eyelid and covers the white part of the eye. It is also known as pink eye. Symptoms include redness, itching, and a sticky discharge. Treatment typically involves topical antibiotics and/or anti-inflammatory medications, as well as lubricating eye drops.
