Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes that occur in living organisms, including the structures and functions of cellular components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and other bio molecules. Physiology is the study of the functions and processes of living organisms and their parts, including all of the body’s systems, organs, and tissues, and the ways in which they interact with one another. Together, these two fields of study provide an in-depth understanding of the workings of living organisms and the molecular and cellular mechanisms that support life.
