joule’s law – ജൂൾ നിയമം

Joule’s law, also known as the Joule-Thomson effect, states that when a gas is allowed to expand
through a porous plug or orifice, the temperature of the gas will decrease. This effect is due to the fact
that the expanding gas does work against the external pressure, and the energy required to do this
work is taken from the internal energy of the gas, resulting in a decrease in temperature.
