Persistence of vision – വീക്ഷണസ്ഥിരത

Persistence of vision is the phenomenon of the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for approximately one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina. This has been used in motion pictures and animation since the late 1800s. Persistence of vision is the reason why fast-moving objects appear as continuous motion and why motion pictures appear as a single, continuous image.
