Cohesive force –

Cohesive force is the interaction between molecules that causes them to stick together. The most common example of cohesive force is the surface tension of water, which is caused by attractions between adjacent molecules of water. Cohesive forces also exist between molecules of different substances, such as between water and oil.

Some insects able to move along the surface of water –

Some insects have a waxy coating on the surface of their body that helps them to trap air bubbles and form a waterproof seal, allowing them to move along the surface of water. This waxy coating also helps them to repel water and stay afloat.

Reduce the volume of a liquid by apply the pressure –

Applying pressure to a liquid can reduce its volume by forcing the molecules of the liquid closer together, making it denser and taking up less space. This is known as compression. Depending on the pressure applied and the type of liquid, the volume can be reduced by up to 50%.
