Carbon monoxide (CO) – കാർബൺ മോണോക്സൈഡ് (CO)

Carbon monoxide (CO) is formed when hydrocarbons (such as gasoline, diesel, or natural gas) are burned with an insufficient supply of oxygen. This can occur either due to incomplete combustion in engines, furnaces, and other fuel-burning appliances, or due to the burning of charcoal or wood in enclosed spaces. Carbon monoxide is also a by-product of the corrosion of steel pipes and other metal surfaces.
