Dalton’s atomic theory states that all matter is composed of tiny indivisible particles called atoms, which are indestructible and indivisible. Atoms of the same element are identical in their chemical and physical properties, but atoms of different elements have different properties. Atoms of different elements can combine with each other in different proportions to form compounds. In a chemical reaction, atoms are simply rearranged and no new atoms are formed.
