Haemophilia – ഹീമോഫീലിയ

Haemophilia is a genetic disorder that affects the body’s ability to make blood clots. It is a rare condition, occurring in 1 in 10,000 people in the United States. The disorder is caused by a deficiency in one of the proteins needed to form a blood clot. This can cause excessive bleeding, which can be life-threatening if not treated quickly. People with haemophilia often require frequent transfusions of clotting factors to help control the bleeding. In addition, physical therapy and other treatments may be needed to help manage the condition.
