Hardness – കാഠിന്യം

In simple terms, the hardness of a metal is a measure of its resistance to scratching, abrasion, or other forms of deformation. In other words, a metal with a high hardness is more difficult to scratch or deform than a metal with a low hardness. For example, a steel nail is harder than a lead pencil, so it will take more force to scratch the surface of the nail than it would to scratch the surface of the pencil.
