IUPAC – ഐയുപിഎസി

IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) is the international body responsible for promoting the development of chemical nomenclature, terminology, standardized methods for measuring properties of chemicals, and safety standards for chemical products. IUPAC is responsible for publishing several chemical nomenclature and terminology standards, including the “Blue Book” which details the rules of naming chemical compounds and the “Red Book” which outlines the rules for classifying and naming chemical reactions. IUPAC also publishes standards for physical and chemical properties (such as melting point, boiling point, and flash point), and for the classification of hazardous substances.
