Newlands – ന്യൂലാൻഡ്സ്

The Newlands periodic table was the first successful attempt at organizing the chemical elements into a systematic table. It was created by English chemist John Newlands in 1864. The table arranged elements in order of increasing atomic weight and grouped them into eight vertical columns based on similar chemical properties. Newlands’ table formed the basis for the modern periodic table, although it was later improved upon by others. For example, Dmitri Mendeleev’s version of the periodic table included additional columns for elements that had not yet been discovered at the time Newlands created his table.
