Production of vasopressin and quantity of urine – വാസോപ്രെസിൻ ഉൽപാദനവും മൂത്രത്തിന്റെ അളവും

)

Vasopressin, also known as anti diuretic hormone (ADH), is a hormone produced in the hypothalamus and stored in the pituitary gland. It is released when the body is dehydrated and acts on the kidneys to reduce the amount of urine produced. When the body is adequately hydrated, less vasopressin is released and more urine is produced. The quantity of urine produced is a direct result of the amount of vasopressin released. The more vasopressin released, the less urine is produced, and the less vasopressin released, the more urine is produced.
