Reaction of metals with water – ജലവുമായുള്ള ലോഹങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിപ്രവർത്തനം

When a metal reacts with water, a metal hydroxide and hydrogen gas are formed. The reaction is usually exothermic, meaning that it releases heat. The ease with which a metal reacts with water depends on its reactivity. The more reactive the metal, the more vigorously it will react with water. Metals such as sodium and potassium react very quickly and violently with water, while metals such as gold and platinum do not react at all.
