A GLIMPSE OF HER LIFE
• Sarojini Naidu was born in Hyderabad on 13th February 1879
• Her father AghorenathChattopadhyay was the principal of Nizam college in Hyderabad
• After completing the studies from the University of Madras she took a 4-year break from her studies
• Then she went to continue her studies at kings’ college London and later at Girton college Cambridge
• In 1898 she married a physician Govindarajalu Naidu from Andhra Pradesh
• In 1905 she joined Indian independence movement and her industry in the fight for India’s freedom
• Between 1915 and 1918 she travelled to various regions in India delivering lectures on nationalism and social welfare
