SUNITHA WILLIAMS was born in EUCLID,UNITED STATES.
Her father family is from MEHSANA DISTRICT,GUJARAT, INDIA
She Joined UNITES STATES NAVY in 1987 .
She was selected as an Astronaut by NASA in 1998
she was launched to the “INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION (ISS)” in Space shuttle “STS-116” on
ON APRIL 26, 2007, NASA decided to being her Sack on STS-117 Mission, she returned to EARTH on JUNE 22, 2007. But due to poor weatherCondition there landing attempts had been cancelled. At last the shuttle landed down with Sunitha williams holding a record of 192 days in space
On APRIL 16, 2007 she ran the First MRATHON by any person in the space. She completed the marathon in 4 hour and 24 minitues.
Sunitha went to INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION next on july 15, 2012 ,as part of EXPEDITION 32/33
She become the commander of the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION (ISS)on SEPTEMBER 17,2012.
