Thermal conductivity – താപ ചാലകത

Thermal conductivity of metals is a measure of how well a metal conducts heat. It is a measure of the rate at which heat energy is conducted through a material. Metals generally have higher thermal conductivity than other materials such as plastics or wood. This means that metals are better at transferring heat from one area to another.
High thermal conductivity metals – Copper, silver, gold, aluminum
Low thermal conductivity metals – Lead, tin, iron, steel
