Tenali Raman,the clever minister lived in the court of great King Krishna Deva Raya.One day a merchant came there.He bowed before the king and said,”your majesty,i know that you have wise ministers.I would like to test their wit” The King agreed.The merchant gave three dolls.He said,”these three dolls look similar but they are different in many ways.If your ministers can find out the differences,i will bow to their wisdom.”Tenali Raman came forward and closely examined the dolls.He ordered the soldiers to bring three strings.Tenali Raman said,”Your majesty,these dolls are different because one is good,one medium and one bad.”Then the merchant said “you have to prove it”Tenali Raman said”OK sure,i will prove it,”He took the first doll and put a string in the doll’s ear.The string came out from the doll’s mouth. He did the same with the second doll and the string came out of the doll’s ear.In the third doll the string went to heart and did not come out. Then Tenali continued,”the first doll represents people who spread their knowledge,so they are good. The second doll represents people who don’t understand what they are taught,so its medium. The third doll symbolises people who have knowledge but keep it all themselves. They are bad.’The merchant was happy on hearing this. He said” you are the wisest minister”
