INTRODUCTION 

  • BHAGAT SINGH is considered as the most famous “REVOLUTIONARY of INDIAN FREEDOM STRUGGLE”
  • He is popularly known as”SHAHEED[MARTYR] BHAGATH SINGH”
  • He is still the inspiration of many youngsters
  • He is credited with making the slogan”INQUILAB ZINDABAD”[LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION]famous.

“A WALK THROUGH HIS REVOLUTIONARY LIFE”

  • BHAGAT SINGH was born on “27th SEPTEMBER 1907″to a SIKH FAMILY in PUNJAB
  • His father “KISHAN SINGH”was a freedom fighter and his mother “VIDYA VATI”a house life
  • His father was a great admirer of “MAHATMA GANDHI’
  • Inspired by GANDHIJI’S movement against boycotting GOVERNMENT.AIDED INSTITUTIONS,he left school and joined “NATIONAL COLLEGE AT LAHORE”
  • In NATIONAL COLLEGE AT LAHORE he started studying “European Revolutionary Movements”These movements inspired him to believe that”attacking was the only way to freedom”
  • In 1926,he founded the “YOUTH SOCIETY OF INDIA’and also joined the”HINDUSTAN REPUBLICAN ASSOCIATION”
  • Though his parents decided to fix his marriage,he totally rejected the marriage proposal and left his home.
  • In 1927,he was born arrested for involving in a bomb case but was released after several weeks .
  • After receiving words from his parents that they wen’t force him to marry,he returned back to his parents in 1927.
  • In 1928,the British government introduced “SIMON COMMISSION”to discuss independence for the INDIAN people”.
  • Several Indian political organizations boycotted SIMON COMMISSION because the COMMISSION did not included any INDIAN REPRESENTATIVES.
  • To protest against SIMON COMMISSION “LALA LAJPAT RAI” led a silent march. LAL LAJPAT RAI,one of the founders of NATIONAL COLLEGE was the GURU of BHAGAT SINGH.
  • The march was disturbed by the police was LAL LAJPAT RAI was seriously injured by the superintendent of police “JAMES.A.SCOTT”
  • LAL LAJPAT RAI died two weeks later due to this injury.
  • In 1928,In order to revenge his guru’s death,he along with “RAJGURU”and”SUKHDEV”decided to kill “JAMES.A.SCOTT”But by mistake they shot and killed another police office “JOHN.P.SAUNDERS”
  • After killing JOHN.P.SAUNDERS they run away from LAHORE to escape from death penalty.
  • In 1929,he along with another freedom fighter “BATUKESHWAR DUTT”bombed the “CENTRAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY IN DELHI”as a protest against “PUBLIC SAFETY BILL”
  • Though the bomb they thrown did not killed any one they surrounded to promoted their purpose.
  • He was arrested and “sentenced to life in prison”
  • when further investigated,the police discovered BHAGAT SINGH was involved in the murder of police officer “JOHN.P.SAUNDERS”
  • Thus he was “sentenced to death”
  • On 23rd of march,1931 he along with RAJGURU and SUKHDEV was hanged,at the age of 23rd
  • He still lives in the “hearts of millions of Indians”
