The equatorial low pressure belt is located between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn and is the warmest and most humid region. The subpolar low pressure belt is located between the polar circles and the Tropics and is characterized by cool, moist air. The polar high pressure belt is located around the North and South Poles and is characterized by cold, dry air.
