RALPH WALDO EMERSON was an American poet,Philosopher and Essayist of the 19th century.
His writing were still considered as major documents of 19th century American literature and thought.
In the literacy world, he is known as the “SAGE OF CONCORD”.CONCORD is a place in the United State, where he settled after his second marriage.

RALPH WALDO EMERSON was born on 25th MAY,1803 in BOSTON,UNITED STATES.
He joined the “BOSTON LATIN SCHOOL” and later went to “HARVARD UNIVERSITY” from where he graduated in 1821.
After his graduation he joined “HARVARD SCHOOL OF DIVINITY”
He was licensed as a MINISTER in 1826,and was appointed to the church in 1829.
He married ELLEN TUCKER in 1829.
In 1831 ,his wife died due to Tuberculosis. After his wife death he resigned from his job in Church
In 1832,he traveled to Europe and met with the literacy figures “THOMAS CARLYLE,SAMUEL TAYLOR and WILLIAM WORDSWORTH”
In 1834,he moved to CONCORD, UNITED STATES and married LYDIA JACKSON in 1835.
His essays and lectures like NATURE (1836),AMERICAN SCHOLAR (1837)inspired American Authors to find their own style of writing instead of imitating
In 1840,he founded the literacy magazine “THE DIAL” and published essays including “SELF -RELIANCE”, “FRIENDSHIP” and, “EXPERIENCE” in 1841 and 1844.
He argued for the abolition of slavery and continued to lecture across the country doing 1860’s.
In 1874,he published a poetry collection titled “PARNASSUS”
He died on 27th April, 1882,in CONCORD.
His literacy and philosophical group is known as the “AMERICAN TRANSCENDENTALISTS”
